Knorri Park

Perfect Infrastructure for Food Companies

On the historic Unilever production site in Thayngen, the Knorri Park is taking shape — a vibrant food hub backed by over 100 years of Swiss food tradition. Food and food-adjacent companies find food-grade infrastructure, attractive rental terms and an established network of production, logistics, expertise and partners

Why Knorri Park in Schaffhausen?

The Entire Value Chain Under One Roof

From AgTech (Swiss Future Farm) to processing (Nutrition Manufacturing Hub) to packaging (SIG, Syntegon, Medipack) — nowhere else in Europe will you find the complete food value chain in such a compact area. 15 minutes by car, not 15 different locations.

Cross-Cutting Competences

Automation

The FoodTech region of Schaffhausen relies on seamless automation across the entire value chain. At Swiss Future Farm, autonomous field robots, smart crop protection systems and monitoring drones are revolutionising agriculture. In the Nutrition Manufacturing Hub, fully automated production lines with real-time inline quality control and robot-assisted filling ensure maximum efficiency. The process is completed by high-speed filling systems from industry leaders such as SIG Combibloc and Syntegon, which together with modern palletising robotics ensure sterile, contact-free packaging and logistics processes.

Circularity

Schaffhausen drives the circular economy along the entire food value chain. Swiss Future Farm conserves resources through precision agriculture, reducing fertiliser, water and pesticides to a minimum through intelligent technologies. In the Nutrition Manufacturing Hub, energy-efficient processes, smart water management and the reuse of production waste ensure sustainable processing. The loop is closed by forward-looking circular packaging solutions: through the use of mono-materials, biodegradable alternatives and drastically reduced packaging volumes — such as at Medipack by up to 50% — waste is consistently avoided.
