Shaping the future

Schaffhausen proactively supports companies and projects that develop the ideas and technologies of tomorrow.

The "Anwendungsregion": A testing ground for new ideas

You design, we support

Canton Schaffhausen is a place where new tech, new products, and new processes can be tested in real life situations - in German, an "Anwendungsregion," or (literally translated) an "application region."

We create spaces for the implementation of new tech in future-oriented industries, and provide the infrastructure, support, and networks needed by companies seeking to try out or scale a new idea.

Schaffhausen has supported and facilitated pioneering technologies in recycling and circularity, autonomous vehicles, agricultural technology, and more. Learn more about our application projects below.

Whether you're starting development, embarking on initial testing, or scaling up, the Economic Promotion is here to help. We support you with network development, accessing infrastructure, finding financial and scientific resources, and connecting with technology and implementation partners from industry and academia.
