Children love to run, jump and tumble. In Parent-Child Gym, children aged three to five are immersed in the joy of movement. Children learn independence and self-confidence, and develop new friendships and relationships. They play and move together with their parents: fun for both big and small.

The Family Center, located at Kirchhofplatz in Schaffhausen, is run by the city of Schaffhausen. It provides a location where parents and relatives of young children can meet and interact. Families with babies and toddlers from 0 to 5 years of age are the target group.

The Center offers a public meeting area with a Bistro and play area, where moms and dads can meet new people, chat and hang out, and discuss parenthood, while children play together. In addition, the Mütter- und Väterberatung (MVB or Parent Advisers) offers personal advice and support for parents with questions about their child’s care and development. Courses, events and other services also take place in the Family Center.
